Re: lice

The presence of head lice every weekend and bleeding could be evidence of neglect and a substantial and material change in circumstances that is adverse to the child. The reasonable course would be to have your child evaluated by a physician to document the situation and provide care, and then to discuss the situatation with the custodial parent in the presence of a witness. If the custodial parent cannot or will not eliminate the situation and the doctor believes the condition is adverse to the child, you might then consider changing custody temporarily so you can provide a cure. Eventually, the temporary situation may have to become permanent.
