we live in ny and wanna go somewhere else to adopt out ?
we live in ny , is it possible to conduct our adoption in another state because they're adoption laws better our decision as far as reimbursement of lost wages and living expenses ?

Courts usually look to residency as a
source of jurisdiction. This is usually
that of the parents. However, arguably
it could also be the residency of the child
An attorney in the state where the adoption
is being done should be retained, with
the application and proceedings to be reviewed
only by a NYS attorney to ensure that it
will be given full faith and credit in
New York.
