lost rights

if my wife leaves our home for 6 months with our 13 year daughter{she wont tell me where she is staying}what rights might i lose or what advantage will she gain in the event of a divorce? i give her 800.oo a month for my daughter. she does not have a job at present but is able to work.

Usually six months is required for changing the domicile or residence of a spouse and child. The change will determine which State's law will control and which judge or group of judge will likely decide the case. Also, the party residing close to the trial location has a home town advantage because the distant party will have to factor into his or her decisions the cost of travel and temporary residence to attend litigation.
