Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Medical Coverage Information

I have custody of my two sons, 17 and 14. According to the divorce agreement, my ex has to carry coverage on my two sons. According to Ms. state law, so I have the right to contact her insurance company to have them send me copies of EOBs and any other information pertaining to the insurance policy. We have to split 50/50 of what insurance does not pay. She is saying that the insurance is delaying payment on a claim. Do I have the legal right to contact her insurance and question them as to the payment and whatever of this claim?

Re: Medical Coverage Information

Sure, what's to stop you? Be prepared, however, that the insurance company may nt give you the info you seek (a)

if they know you are not her and (b) if you don't have policy numbers.

There is a procedure available that will give you full authority to deal directly with the insurance company.

Check my article on it at my website at the following link http://jesbeard.com/3f.htm
