Re: Middle Name

In signing her name to documents, any mark she adopts to represent her signature is legally sufficent.

Customarily, her full name is her first name, middle name, her surname, and her husband's surname. However, it has been customary to drop the wife's surname from her signature. In recent times some people have chosen to join their surnames with a hyphen. Additionally, some women have chosen to not adopt their husband's surname for professional or commercial reasons. However, this may cause some anoyance when a child is given a surname different from both parents. The parents and children of their marriage may have to repeatedly explain differences in their surnames, and this may cause problems on occasions when time really matters, such as occasions when law enforcement or heath care are involved.
