Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

My mother is in the nursing home. My brother is trying to take over bills, utilities off, and medical issues. I would like to give him control of all of her affairs. How do I write a letter to him giving him permission to take over so that he would not bother me?

If your mother is still competent she can execute a power of attorney to him. However, it does not sound like this is the case. If she is not competent then a conservatorship would have to be issued
