Re: power of attorney

Generally, the law does not require powers of attorney to be filed with the court, and most are not filed. Filing it does not affect it's value as evidence or compel anyone to accept the power of attorney as being effective at the time it is presented for use. However, if the power of attorney is to be used for conveyance of land, it should be filed so the power of attorney will be readily available to anyone checking the title.
