Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Rights of proven father

After paying child support regularly for 8 months, why can't something be done to permit a father to have his child on a regular basis, overnight included, in a timely manner? An attorney was hired in early April, summons served the mother, and all contact was cut off. Now in order to continue, the father has to pay more to his attorney to go to court. What kind of justice is this? If you need more details, please email me.

Paternity should be established either by filing this action or agreement signed by parents and by Order of Court. If established the child support is calculated and a visitation schedule is drafted. If she agrees that you are the father then go to mediation together and have a schedule drafted and have a final hearing before the Judge. If after this order she does not comply then she is in contempt.
