Re: separation of affection
Legally, a grudge is not prohibited or limited unless it results in some sort of intentional, reckless, or negligent harm to another. In such cases, the grudge will go to motive and possibly affect the measure of any punitive or exemplary damages. On the other hand, if the jury might have empathy with the person holding the grudge and reduce a damages award accordingly. A jury acts based on applying their common sense and practical solutions to a case.
