Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

separation, reconciliation, divorce

I have been separated from my husband for 2 1/2 years. We are finally scheduled to go to court in 3 weeks for a clear case of adultry. One week ago he asked if there was any hope for our marriage. He dumped his girlfriend about 2 weeks prior. He NOW realizes his mistake. Should I rescedule our court trial and give him time to see if there could be a possible reconcilation or would this take away my grounds for adultry. I am a christian and am trying to do the right thing. Right now I feel Nothing for my spouse. We have 3 children.

Re: separation, reconciliation, divorce

The rules of ethics prevent attorneys from giving advice to one who is already represented by an attorney. No attorney knows your situation better than the attorney who currently represents you and any advice given on the matter will only serve to make that representation more difficult and not serve your best interest. Therefore, you need to talk to your attorney.
