Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi
Can you stop a parent from posting a picture of a child online ?
My ex-daughter-in-law is in the process of getting her 2nd divorce. She has recently posted her picture along with a picture of my 6 yr. old granddaughter. In the photo, she has the 6 yr. old laying on a table and resting her head on her arm. The mother is standing kneeling beside her and you can only see her head, next to to her is her 2 yr. old daughter with a shirt on. She has listed her profile too and is responding to folks emailing her back. To me, this is child endangerment and I want it stopped. What can we do to stop this. It is posted on myspace.com
Thank you,
Linda G

From the description you give I doubt this rises to the level of child endangerment, however, I personally consider this reckless and potentially dangerous. What does your son think about this? We are in the same county and I would be happy to take a closer look at this matter if you would like.

You could start by calling Family and Children Services with the Department of Human Services (DHS) in your county.
