Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi
My supposed ex husband filed for divorce a few year a ago
We live in Harrison county Mississippi. We We married at the court house by a judge and issued a marriage certificate for June 28th, in New York city, we had a wedding however at st johns cathedral, th next day on Sat, June.e 29th, 2002. We are not Episcopalians so the wedding was just for show. Well went he left me am our four children I was very distraught, so I never even bothered with actually looking at the divorce paper and let my attorney handle the details. As it turns out the dumb ads put the date of the church wedding as our date of marriage, so I'm assuming that was the non legal marriage that was dissolved in the divorce papers. Can someone let me know what they think? Are we still legally married?

You have an attorney ask him or her. If you are no longer represented it would be nice to know who put what date of marriage on what certificate, but I am almost 100% sure you are divorced
