Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Supreme Court Decision

What is meant when supreme court reversed and remanded mean to us? We lost durable custody 2 years ago on 2 boys we had 5 1/2 yrs. We appealed it and supreme court retained it and 6 out of 8 judges reversed the decision. When can we get our children back or at least see them? The judge that made the original decison to return them is no longer a judge. Thanks for your help!

Re: Supreme Court Decision

Reverse and remanded means the appellate court disagreed with the lower court and sent the case back for reconsideration by the lower court subject to the guidance in the appellate court's decision. You need to make an appointment to talk with your attorney about the rest of your questions because they depend on the facts of your case and the best course you should take with the case.
