Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Re: Surrendering parental rights

Hello,

I wanted to find out what the procedure would be to surrender my parental rights. I am a non-custodial parent and am barely surviving because of child support. What and how can i proceed with this if i do it on my own?

Thanx,

Re: Re: Surrendering parental rights

How nice that you want your child(ren) to be fatherless. The child support is just so much out of your paycheck, even though you will pay less here than virtually any other state. I know you will be disappointed, but you are on the hook until someone else takes your place. Perhaps your ex will finally find a decent partner (you could even help in this search) that will want to adopt your offspring and relieve you of the burden of parenthood. That way, you could spend the absorbent amount of child support you currently pay on anything your heart desires.

I will pray for you and your child(ren). I hope you both get what you want and more particularly, what you deserve.
