Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Tape Recording Phone Conversation with Kids

Is a tape recorded conversation with the minor children legal and admissible in court? I have joint custody of the minor children but not physical custody, and plan to use the taped conversation as evidence for Contempt of Court against my ex. The court setting is in Mississippi.

Re: Tape Recording Phone Conversation with Kids

Were you a party to the converstation? How did you make the recording? You may have Federal Wire Tap violations which could cost you a fine of $10,000 and if you obtained the recording illegally, no it would not be admissible.
