need attorney to file permanent residency

hi

i have been in US for the past 2 years on h1b and i hold a US masters degree ...

i need to file my green card....but i was told that,its hard to get the labor approved at this point of tough economic situation..

is this true...please suggest...

You most likely possess some uniquiness if your employer decided to hire you and go through some issues with the USCIS. If your employer is able to prove that he could not find a compatible employee, you should not have a problem with the labor certification even nowadays. Advanced degree professionals are still needed by the employers.

the economic downturn is certainly a factor in getting an LC approval. However, it also largely depends on the specific job market in which the job is located and whether there are applicants with the requisite skill set. While I cannot guarantee that you will be successful in getting your LC approved if you file, I CAN guarantee that it will not get approved if you choose not to file it.
