Legal Question in Immigration Law in Mississippi

My boyfriend is originally from Jamaica but he is here in the U.S.A. enrolled in a university. He has a green card and we would like to get married. How hard would it be and how long would it take for us to get married?

You can get married any time you want. However, if you are not a U.S. citizen & looking to get a "greencard", it will take quite a while to derive a benefit from your marriage to him. And, in the meantime, you will need to maintain your own valid, non-immigrant status.
