Legal Question in Employment Law in Mississippi

Bit of a situation: I'm salaried and outside sales. My offer letter stated that I would also receive mileage and commission. I only worked there for 3 months and was consistently paid my salary weekly and on time however; my mileage check was being paid with a hard check from one of the company's subsidiary companies (where my salary came direct deposit). The first time my mileage check didnt come (it was also supposed to be paid weekly), I asked about it but still didnt get it. I submitted my mileage the next week and again didnt receive it and now they owed me 2 weeks worth. This went on for another week and finally after escalating to a higher up, I received all of the owed mileage money. Several weeks later they got behind again until I escalated it, then caught up. 2 weeks ago I submitted my mileage as usual but didnt get paid for it the following week. Finally, and with this being the 3rd time, I quit last week. I submitted my final mileage report but still haven't received a check for it or for the previous week (while I was still an employee). I should also receive my final pay check this Friday. I have called and called to speak to someone in the corporate office to find out when I will be paid and was finally told the Comptroller was handling it and that she would call me when she had a few minutes but never did. I feel like they are angry I quit and so now are withholding money owed to me out of spite. MS laws aren't very good of clear on MY rights. They owe me just over $2500 and that after taxes, as a single mom this is money I absolutely need. They amount of miles they had me driving weekly and gas I had to put into my car was hundreds per week so now I'm broke. Isn't there a way to get them to pay me what the owe without having to drag this into court?
