Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Mississippi
I am currently 17 looking to go to a community college in gulfport ms this coming fall. I currently live in nebraska, and there is no one i will be able to stay with when i move. I have no problem paying for my own place, but I do not know the laws.
Some places I have gone to say you can be 18 and lease, others say you must be 21 in mississippi. I turn 18 in october and the semester starts before I turn 18, so what can be done about that? Would I have to get my parents to lease/rent a place for me until I am 18? or will I have to try and find a roommate who will alow me to live with them? I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks,
Luke

Most landlords in south Miss. will require the parents co-sign the lease in cases such as yours.
