Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Mississippi
apt complex forcing tenants to pay cable
i am about to sign a lease for a complex that is forcing tenants to pay for cable service, even if they have no intention of using it or if they want to use a different service (satellite).
i've been told, i can have satellite service if i want, but i still have to pay for cable through the complex because they signed a bulk contract with the provider.
can they legally force people to use a service they do not want to use ?

You are not being forced to do anything. If you want to live there, that's their deal.
If you don't like the deal, live somewhere else.
(they could just add it into the rent and not tell you, couldn't they?)
