Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Mississippi
Fire damage
On Friday, December 9, my apartment caught on fire. I lived in a townhouse apartments with two floors. When the alarm finally went off it was too late to exit the house through the door so I had to throw my two year old out a two story window and I had to be pulled out the window also. I sustained some minor damages to my right leg and I also lost a lot of personal property in the house, but the manager of the building fails to pay for any damages even though the fire chief said that it was there negligence that caused the fire. Do I need to seek representation?
