Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Mississippi

plumbing

we are renters and have the water meter under our name because landlord made us do that. we have a water leak somewhere and it has used thousands gallons of water but it is not leaking in the house and there is no water laying on the ground outside. the water company is saying it might be underground lines. the landlord is supposed to come over this morning and try to find out where the water is going. who is liable for payment and repair of lines and water usage?

LL should fix the system, but you may be on the hook for the water. Need to see your rental contract to advise.
