Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Mississippi
Mental Anguish and Neglect
I had a baby stillborn at 4 1/2 mo gestation, due to heart defect. when defect was found by dr. , i wanted a 2nd opinion. Dr. got mad treated me like i had gone over his head and wasnt nice about it. The baby died. he let me carry it for 7 days before doing anything. would not answer questions gave us the run around. during delivery wasnt in room and baby came out in the bed, had to lay there with it in bed till he came to hosp. Sent me home had bleeding problems went up there he ran tests and sent me home. had more pleeding probs. told me nothing was wrong. Went back for 6 weeks check and he asked me how i was making it with a new baby at home. that floored me. he never said sorry, just changed subject. There are several more incidents I could explain in detail. Help please there has got to be something i can do. this happened around 9-6-01

Re: Mental Anguish and Neglect
Insensitivity itself is not grounds for a claim for a tort. I would have to know more of the facts in order to determine whether or not you have a cause of action.
