Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Mississippi

Name Change on House Deed

My grandmother died March 30, 1995. She left a will. We never went to probate court. In my grandmother's will she left her house to me --name removed--, my brother (John) and my father (Tommie). All still living. We want to change the name on the house deed and put it in my father's name. All three are on agreement with that change. How can I change the deed to just one name instead of three?

Re: Name Change on House Deed

You need to hire an attorney in order to probate your mother's will as a muniment of title, an expedited estate process. Once that is completed, you and your brother can deed your shares over to your father.
