Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Mississippi
other children left out
my uncle lost his legs in an accident. my grandma went behind my grandpas back and made out 3 deeds leaving the other 9 kids out. 2 of the daughters were also left some of the land. my uncle got 137 acres, aunt 1, got 16, and aunt 2, got the house and 5 acres. it has been in court for about 9 years. how can this be legal ? when my grandma says that my grandpa didn't know anything about her making these 3 deeds and she tried to get her son to reverse it and put it back like it was, he refused.my grandpa had had 12 deeds made but never recorded. he told one of his boys where they were and when he died, that he was to get them and give them to his sisters and brothers, but grandma had already made the other 3 deeds and my uncle went and had them recorded. how is this legal?

Re: other children left out
You state that this is litigation. You should be asking your attorney this. An answer also requires more facts than you have given, such as the state of the title before grandma made out 3 deeds as well as who signed the 3 deeds, etc. In other words, this requires an attorney to look at the records.
