Deed transfer on house inherited from parents

Can you describe to me a simple step-by-step procedure of an attorney-handled deed transfer on an inherited house? Thank you.

This response is not confidential and is not based on any particularized research. It is based on my general experience, and only the limited facts in your email. No attorney-client relationship is formed.

The home passes to the beneficiaries by operation of law. However, the beneficiaries have to be established by proof in court and the chain of title in the deed books has to be updated. Therefore, the estate has to be probated or a suit to determine heirs and quite title has to be accomplished. Then the executor or administrator files the judgment of the court in the deed record books and or an executor's or administrator's deed to beneficiaries pursuant to a court order.
