Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Mississippi

Executor doing nothing

There is a will splitting property among the children. Sister executor of will - took timber money all children signed over for mom's care - mom wasn't able to use money before passing - sister/executor keeping money and not giving back to children. Also will not divide property according to will - will not in probate court - however attys contacted and depos given - nothing is moving along - its been 2 yrs. Attys don't seem to be doing anything - VERY small town - what can we do to make it end and get back timber money?

Re: Executor doing nothing

Get a copy of the file from the attorneys handling the matter. Upon request, they must provide this to you. Take the file, including depositions, to another attorney in an adjacent town or county for them to review. It sounds as if you need a 2nd opinion to determine what is and/or should be happening.
