inherit land
My mother died in 1994 owning inherit land would i have inherit that land in mississippi according to their laws.I know taxes were paid by my cousin and if i can reclaim the land i would have to pay him for back taxes. Are we entitle to her land? What is the average cost to take this case? What can be done help.

Under the laws of descent and distribution in Mississippi, each of the children (and grandchildren if parent dead) of the land owner would inherit the land. As long as the land had not been properly sold for taxes or adverse possession set up against you, you own the land. There is no average cost as each matter takes own a life of its own. You need to hire a good land lawyer near where this land is located.
