Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Mississippi
Inheritance
The family has 3 daughters. One of them has a son. She dies before parents. One doesn't have children and dies before parents. Third daughter has 4 children and still alive.
What part of property does the one child get. Does he get it as soon as parents die or when
the living daughter dies?

Re: Inheritance
If the last parent dies without a will, the surviving child gets everything. If there is no surviving child, the grandchildren share based on what their parents would have received.
If the last surviving parent dies with a will, the estate will be distributed according to the will. If it provides for the children to share per stirpes, then the grandchild gets what his parent would have received.
