certificates of deposit
can I locate my deceased father's certificates of deposit by his name? Are they registered somewhere?

Once you prove your capacity as an Heir, it should be easy to access your father's deposits & obtain new certificates in your name-if you know the bank!!
Which leads me to the question; where are the original certificates anyway?!!!
