Legal Question in Banking Law in Missouri

co-sign on truck loan
I co-signed on a truck with my boyfriend and we split in june, he has kept up payments & insurance but can he sell truck with out me,can he have anyone just sign my name, does anyone verify who signs the papers? My name is on the title first, if that makes a difference.If he falls behind on payments & I go get truck can I sell it without him? I want my name off of loan, he has very bad credit and can not refinance on his own. Am thinking I need to call finance co. but will they flag my account if any attempt is made to sell? I know, what a mess I got myself into....
