Legal Question in Banking Law in Missouri
overpaid
The job I left in August is still directly depositing my payroll check. I have called my ex boss twice and he said he would have it taken care of. I have not used any of the money (yet) and the catcher is that my checking account is with this same bank I used to work for. I know the money is not mine but is nice having a little safety net until they finally take it back. Am I braking any laws?

Re: overpaid
If you have notified your employer ( and the bank ) you have done all you could. If you want to be totally safe, immediately issue a check whenever a deposit is made, and transmit the check to former employer. Then you have a receipt of immediate transfer.
