Legal Question in Banking Law in Missouri
Selling Structured Settlements
My wife decided to sell her structured settlement and after the paperwork was filled out and the date due past they finally told us their lender went out of business. They now tell us that the rates changed in January (after the promised payment date) and requoted us 30,000 less. Just wondering if there is anything we can do. Thanks in advance.

Re: Selling Structured Settlements
Selling structured settlements are usually a BIG LOSER for the customer. You get WAY LESS than you should, even figuring in the present value discount.
You should have an attorney review the contract and the transaction, to determine if a legal remedy is appropriate.
