Legal Question in Banking Law in Missouri
We have sold a car to a buyer and the payment went thru the banks to pay off our loan. The procedure is taking a long time and the buyer is insisting we give him the car without a proper title which we are sill waiting for the bank to release along with the lein. If we give him the car we are still responsible for the car. is that correct. The buyer is becoming rather threatening? We did give him a bill of sale.

Yes this is pretty messed up. But you have the car, and the cash, so yes if I were in his shoes I'd be calling the cops. Or a lawyer. In my experience a loan payoff letter takes a few days at the most. You have to come to some agreement with the guy. He can't be threatening, but you have to offer some accommodation.
Good luck.
