Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Missouri
Divorce and Bankruptcy
My husband has accumulated $170,000. in loan and credit card debt due to compulsive gambling. $70,000 is on our home, (mortgage in both our names). The majority of the remaining debt is in his name only but about $20,000 has my name on it. When we divorce and if I file bankruptcy so I can try to keep my house, will his creditors come after me if he defaults on his debt?
