Legal Question in Business Law in Missouri
My exboyfriends grandparents bought my vehicle. They state that they will take me to court to get all the money that I "owe" them, however I didn't sign anything stating that I owed them money, I didn't have a lien on the title and the title was in my name. Do they have legal right to the money or no?

Your question is "Was it a gift or a loan?" The facts will determine that. IT is impossible to predict (with confidence) the outcome of a suit for loan payments, without all the relevant facts. What facts you have provided makes it sound like a gift. But, the other facts may show it was a loan, or use of the car while your dating their grandchild. If you want a more definite answer, you should consult directly with an attorney in your area, Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation. Gather what documents you have, and contact some.
