You may sue, under the facts you described. Your suit would be on the detrimental reliance in quitting your present job, and the resulting loss of income. You may have other causes of action too. These cases are very fact specific. You are nto able to provide enough infromation here to adcise as to your likelihood of winning yrou suit. If you are still interested, you should consult direclty with a civil or administrative law attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation.

As a Franchise Attorney I offer a somewhat different perspective. In the absence of a written employment agreement, the employment is "at will" meaning either party can terminate at any time for any reason. If you had a contract, that of course is a different story. Consult with a good labor or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
