Re: preliminary/permanent injunction

I must presume that you are referring to a legal proceeding in which a law suit is filed seeking an injunction. Of course, it may be possible that the injunction you are referring to could be before an administrative body, and this would affect the response. If we are talking about the legal proceedings in Court, then, it is likely that the person or company filing the suit has alleged some "irreparable harm" caused by something that the defendant company is doing. The court may have issued a preliminary injunction to stop the activity complained about until a full hearing may be had to determine wheter a permanent injunction is going to be issued. Sometimes the parties in such a lawsuit can work out an agreement and settle the suit, so that it would not be necessary to go through trial. In fact, it is not uncommon for a plaintiff to seek a preliminary injunction as a part of an overall strategy designed to obtain certain relief, but not necessarily a permanent injunction. In any event, if you are in such a situation, it is obvious that you need competent legal counsel to represent you. Please be sure to consult with legal counsel personally if you have not already done so. You may call me for a free telephone consultation if you are not already represented at 314-727-2822.
