Producing slideshows for customers
I am starting a small business that will produce slideshow DVD�s using music a background. Is it legal the use popular music purchase by the customer for use in the slideshow?

As long as you are not reselling the presentations or presenting them as a series of seminars around the country, you should be fine.
Bottom line: If the presentations for these customers are internal presentations, you should be fine using popular music. If the presentations will be shown at a conference or some other public forum, then you may have to negotiate with the rights holders to use the music.
