Legal Question in Business Law in Missouri
Rolex Deal gone good or...............................
Dear Experts:
I am in the midst of a Rolex deal and this is my situation. I received and sent various e-mails to an individual who was interested in buying a couple of Rolex watches from me. We talked on the phone also, and he agreed to buy for him and his friends 6 Rolex watches.
He agreed that once his model#16613 is confirmed by a Rolex Dealer as a authentic model that he and his fellow co-workers will buy a total of 5 more various Rolex models which he told me to hold and pre-order so that he could receive a 50% discount.
He sent the money for model#16613, and I told him he still owes me for the total order of 6. He only paid for one. Before I send him his watch should I have him to sign a contract to protect myself?
He now claims that he really didn't pre-order the other watches. How should I legally resolve the matter? How should I design a contract to send to him before he gets any watches in this matter, and what should it say? Please help!

Re: Rolex Deal gone good or...............................
The questions you have asked are very important. I help individuals through very difficult issues like yours all the time. A lot of what you asked can be cured/prevented by using writen contracts during negotiations and before execution of a deal. I would be happy to review your situation and help you.
I cannot answer questions, give legal advice, or quote fee rates over e-mail for several reasons. First, in order to answer questions, I may need to ask you several questions or review documents. Also, because there is no confidentiality with e-mail, some authorities have said that I would be in violation of ethical restrictions. Additionally, if you are already represented, I need to know that in order to ethically render legal advice. Finally, please understand that I make my living rendering legal opinions.
