As a Franchise Attorney I can say it's not possible to even begin to provide an answer without further detail. What is the entity you formed, partnership, LLC or what? What tax id are you trying to protect and why? Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.

The above response asks the right questions about your post. If you have organized a business as a corporation or as an L.L.c.m then the answer would be fiffernet than if you are truely a partnership. Perhaps you should consult with an attorney in your area. Or, post again with more specific information.
