Legal Question in Business Law in Missouri
I have been unemployed for two years and have some bills that are behind in payments. I have an opportunity to be a partner in a business now and need to know if my personal creditors can come after the assets of the company if my name is listed as a partner.

Well, a creditor of yours could file a suit against you, take a judgment and then try to execute (collect) on that judgment by seizing your partnership interest in the new business. So, I guess that anything is possible. Why don't you try to settle any existing outstanding debts before you start the new partnership?
