Legal Question in Business Law in Missouri
A utility, Missouri Sewer District, has charged a residence with commercial rates for the past 30 years. They have agreed to credit back 5 years of this overpayment amount, but say that they will only refund 5 years and will not consider refunding the other 25 years. Is this legal?

Any business or franchise attorney will say there is normally a 4-year statute of limitations on these type of claims. If they are going back 5 years, that's not a bad deal. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
