Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

I have an ex in which I have a baby with and he is trying to get phone harassment charges on me but he continues to tell my mother he does not want to drag me to court he wants to sit down and talk to me and talk it over but this is the third time he has tried to file papers on me and he keeps dropping the restraining orders and I am afraid this time that they are trying to pull this over my head cause he has a family member that is involved in the police line of work so I ask that you give me some help.
