Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

My boyfriend at the time used my credit card to make purchases on remolding a house we were going to move into, some without me knowing. We worked on the house together but never actually lived in the property. His projects started costing lots of $$$. He had paid back 300 + dollars towards these bills monthly. I found out he had no intention of "us" moving in and he just wanted the money. We broke up now he refuses to pay back the money and is keeping everything he purchased on my credit cards (refrigerator, washer, dryer, flooring...). Is there anything I can do about this, is he obligated to pay anything back?

Under the fever you described, you may be able to file a mechanics lien on the items purchased, and perhaps the house that the work was done on. There is a very limited time in which to do this. You can sue him directly for the debt.

You need to consult directly with a civil practice attorney, in your area, as soon s is practicable.

Good luck
