Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri
I called to make a car payment I make weekly payments I have been ill so I'm 2 weeks behind, I called the finance company to make a payment and the lady refused to take my payment. She stated she had called my landlord and was told I had been evicted and no longer resided at my address, I told her I have not been evicted and my address was current she said she could not accept my payment and to have my landlord call her then she hung up on me. The landlord she called was a previous landlord I updated my information with her when I relocated, I will be finished with my payments for my vehicle in September, can you please tell me how I would handle this situation and can my previous landlord give out information regarding me?

It may be necessary for you to not just make a payment, but catch up all payments. The finance company is not required to accept a single late payment, but if youcatch up, probably no court will support the vehicle being repossessed. If you were evicted from your previous residence, it would not be unlawful for the landlord to state that.
