Can-I-sue-a-public-person-for-Slander-if-I-am-not-the-one-being-Slandered?

Unless you're acting on behalf of a minor, (or an incompetent or incapacitated person), you probably cannot sue for slander of someone other than yourself. You can file the suit, But, it will likely be Dismissed. You might be liable for tortious prosecution for filing the worthless suit.
