I am a little unsure what you mean when you ask (Do I have any rights?) You should be at least consulted and probably have a request for your permission before a detective talks to your 13 yr old child about an ongoing investigation. This is quaddrupally true where the child may be a suspect. With the little amount of information about the context of the interview, I can not give you any advice as to what should have happened and what your options are now.
Good Luck,
