Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri
If on facebook a child aged, 14 years, says that his teacher is a pedophile. And thats all can the teacher sue him for slander. Also can the school get the child in trouble even though it did not happpen on school grounds

The child will probably not be found liable for slander. But, their parents might, if the purposefully false statement is known to them and they do not have it retracted or removed. As to whether the school can punish the child, it might depend upon the known standard of behavior established by the school or district. Under the facts you described, the harm may well be felt within the school, so the false posting may also violate an anti bullying rule.
