can a hospital force me to take care of a relative after discharge?

If the relative is your child or child, you can be forced to care for them. Otherwise, you could only be forced by contractual relationship, such as guardian, or professional caretaker. One can also contract them self to be obligated to care for someone in exchange for money or property. But, in most cases, a hospital cannot force anyone else to care for one of their patients.
